Is it just me, or does it seem at all ironic that this article was posted only a short while after this article:
animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2015-08-16/after-40-years-has-comiket-outlived-its-usefulness/.91713 was posted? I mean, really, Comiket attendance is at an all-time high over the last year. Hell, it's the second largest gathering of humans IN THE WORLD, second only to Mecca (and that's got the whole religious thing going for it). I'm just saying, maybe at least wait until the numbers start to dwindle a little before claiming that it's on its way out. |

Hm, day 3 seemed MUCH more crowded than the other days...
Nearly died trying to get to the Higashi 3 hall where the professional ero artists were lol |

Totally agree. They really jumped the gun on that article. Probably to just stir up attention and site traffic with relevant events. Nothing like mentioning the Trans-Pacific Pact to drum up controversy. |

Isn't day 3 always more crowded because it's porn day for men?

I asked an attendant when I went a couple of years ago and he says that the numbers are much higher but have to be listed as such due to official regulations restricting the number of people in the building... (^.^;)

The massive rise of attendees is enough proof to say that Comiket is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

It will stay a long time for sure because of the growing popularity. Good to see it being so successful since it's original run.
Day 1 revealed a lot about the upcoming Fall season as well. |

I would say that probably could be case but the interaction with fellow fans is also something that might often be overlooked. A lot of cons and similar events have become a major venue for fan works but the inter-action among fellow fans is also an important thing to consider. |

I'd love to go one day. The numbers are absolutely staggering though.
