A stripped down version... Suits have less moves, entire mechanics are gone, Force can only be played with at most 2 people and that requires adhoc as the game doesn't support online. Yeah, there is a somewhat interesting new single player game mode, but this is at its core a 2v2 game yet you can only play 1+1cpu vs 1+1cpu which makes it trash.

Honestly, multiplayer would be garbage even if it did allow for 2v2. There is no way those suits are balanced given the changes and the lack of public testing, and bamco apparently doesn't really give a crap about patching outside of the arcade.

I have played Gundam VS Gundam on PSP and I liked it. Seriously the reason I want portable version because I want to play with my friend and not the online multiplayer crap

It isn't the same thing. The PSP versions of GvG and Next + are straight up ports of the arcade versions. They didn't dumb down the game mechanics or movesets. The PSP versions were also the results of countless balance patches where as Force will have had no play testing.

The lack of multiplayer (especially in Japan) wouldn't be that big of a deal if it at least supported 4 players with adhoc, but it doesn't. Now you'd be stuck playing 1+1cpu vs 1+1cpu with a friend which is incredibly broken even with a fairly balanced roster.

as long the game is multiplayer I can deal with it, also I dont need to find 3 friends just to play Extreme VS. Force

It has multiplayer versus which is the same as the 'online crap' you didn't like before except you're forced to play with only one person on each team which is pretty game breaking if anyone knows what they're doing.

If you just want to play with 1 friend, PS3 Full Boost has a lot more content as it offers co-op in addition to versus.

Oh by the way, there is an error in the article.
Quote:
For the first time in the franchise, there will be three-MS units and up to seven warships in a battle.

That seems to be referring to the text at the bottom of the video at 0:35. What it says is 3 teams and a warship for up to 7 units. If you look at the Vita's screen, it shows 3 teams of 2 and 1 ship.

Also, official website:

The game hasn't got a release date yet so I'd wait for a playable demo in Japan somewhere and the results from it. I think the game will turn out fine unless it's broken and buggy.

I don't see why that is necessary. The PV confirms everything I said in the first paragraph you quoted.

As for the second paragraph about balance, there is no way it will be balanced. The combat system can't possibly be balanced when played 1v1 (with or without computers on each side) because the 2v2 aspect intentionally acts as a balance mechanic in order to make certain types of suits viable and keep certain specific suits in check.

Even assuming 2v2 was possible, it won't be balanced on release and I don't need to see game play to know that (and you can't tell that in a demo anyway). I'm guessing you don't pay much attention to this series, but they are absolutely atrocious about balancing suits on release. There is absolutely no way in hell that despite proving themselves incapable of balancing suits at release in MB that they magically figured out how to do it for Force. It takes them months to gradually nudge suits into line. I'm not talking perfect balance either, but utterly brokenly overpowered and total trash tier.

so much complaint over unrelease game aint we? be positive...
I also aware with limited content since PS Vita hardware capability is limited compared to PS3/PS4

but hey lets complaining instead of praising their effort to bring more games to dead gaming system

PV =/= real thing
there are case which the real thing going to be different than promotion video(PV)

thats why I dont usually believe 100% because it could be in prototype/development stage, especially anime PV

I find it hard to believe there was absolutely no way to allow 2v2 on Vita. Seem obvious that it was by choice to me.

Depends on the content and the time to release. Sometimes a PV will be released early or in the middle of development and there could be major changes. This is coming out in a few months which means they have to be pretty much done and are working on QA stuff and menus / other minor things.

There isn't a chance in hell that they cut down the moveset for nearly every suit in the PV and are going to go back and reverse it at this point. They also can't really keep the some of the cut game mechanics without reverting that. Other cut mechanics like the EX system have obviously been intentionally removed and replaced. The fact that it is only up to 2 players with adhoc and no online is also confirmed on the official website. So in this case, all of that is pretty set in stone at this point.

Some people who play tested at TGS posted stuff on twitter and basically confirmed what I said. Movesets have been dumbed down. Instead of 3 multi button inputs, Force suits only have 2. Another comment says it is a completely separate game and has changed the game/weapons to focus on optimizing for the new mode.

So if you're wanting that Gundam VS experience from other entries, you won't be getting it with this. If you want a single player dynasty warriors type experience but with EXVS style mechanics, then this is for you.

Now I'm really curious to see how it turns out, I'll take a mechanics change if it's done right besides I like Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

To be clear, that was just my description based on the PV. I didn't see any comments by those that got to play the demo likening it to gundam musou. But to me, going around a larger map to capture areas with boss fights in there, which is what was shown in the PV and confirmed by testers, is basically the same as how you progress through a stage in gundam musou.

I think that mode could be a lot of fun because I like gundam musou and even a watered down EXVS combat system is more interesting than the combat system in musou, but if you're wanting the gundam vs multiplayer experience, this isn't going to offer it.
