I didn't know this was an actual full-fledged franchise. I, too, only know of the potty-training devices, as well as a bunch of bootleg stuff I find around Chinatown.

To the Fans of Shimajiro. I have seen Shimajiro in Bookland 2016 on youtube and while I enjoyed the people in mascot costumes and the animation, sadly I cannot understand a word they are saying since they only have Japanese, Chinese and Korean dubs which I have a first grade reading level in.
I was told by the Benesse company that they do actually have an English dub and if this is true, it is likely lost in the Toho Animations vault although they did show this at the San Diego Kids Film Festival but I don't know what happened to the English dub afterwards. Anyways I noticed with the Chinese dub films they often have English subtitles like with The Adventures of Qiaohu Magic Island 2021, if this is true, then should I get the Chinese version of Qiaohu and set my PC to region 3? |
