Opening Ceremonies

The opening ceremony for New York Anime Festival 2009's was short and efficient: Lance Fensterman gave an introductory speech, thanking the show's various sponsors, and then showing a promotional video from All Nippon Airways. After that, it was time to introduce just one guest, but a very important guest. Legendary Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino stepped up to the stage, cut a symbolic red ribbon, and with that, the convention was officially underway.
