Trivia:

Yoko Ishida's "Sugar Baby Love" is the Japanese remake of the Rubettes' 1974 hit single.

In Snow Fairy Sugar, the fictional setting of Muhlenberg is based on the real town Rothenberg, Germany. Members of the Japanese staff took research trips to the town for pictures and other reference material to help with the production of the anime.

Sugar's hat and purse resemble snow bunnies, which are fun things for children to make during a snowy winter. They are essentially an oblate snowball with two leaves for ears and marbles or rocks for eyes.
