Kosoku Denjin Albegas was originally licensed by World Events Productions as the third Voltron series, but despite having released the toys through Matchbox, the release of the series was scrapped due to the immense popularity of the Voltron Lion series and the lukewarm reception of the Voltron Vehicle series.
