Trivia:

Shaman King can be considered a 67 episode series because of its three specials (one that was regarded as a movie by some fans).

At episode 48,the pale-face guy's oversoul seems to be a parody of Ultraman Tiga, even his attack,Electric Funeral, resembles Tiga's Zepellion Ray,Tiga's signature move in his "Multi Type".

Seiji Mizushima went on record that the anime-original material used in the latter half of the series wasn't something he did on his own accord, but that it was a request from Shueisha.

In episode 47, while Chocolove's handmade transformer robots go through their routine of bad punnage, the song playing in the background is Sono Saki no Justice, one of Iron Maiden Jeanne's theme songs.

In episode 48 most (if not all) of the names of the spirits and special moves of Team Sabasu are actual song titles and/or band names from Hard Rock and Heavy Metal (For instance War Pig(s) - Black Sabbath, Holy Diver - Dio, Rainbow in the Dark - Dio and many others)

In Episode 49 Team Enseioth is fighting team LCT. LCT is a play on TLC which is Tables, Ladders and Chairs. The three opponents are a play of 'Dudley Brothers', 'Edge & Christian' and 'The Hardy Boys'. All wrestlers, each using their signature weapons.

In episode 50,Team Dai Rei Dou is a parody of the "Journey To The West(a.k.a. Saiyuki)" series, where the Nyorai parodies Tang San Zhang. The other three oversouls are parodies of Tang San Zhang's three disciples.
