In ep 1 at 1:30 Hajime looks like Hiruma Kenshin Rurouni Kenshin hairstyle and art wise. He has the scar and says gozaru, a common way Kenshin ends his sentences.

In episode 1, when Kaoru makes the moe pose, the picture on the screen is of a young Nanoha Takamachi from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, whose is voiced by Yukari Tamura also.

In episode 9, the character in the Hajime's Love Plus game is a clear homage to Ranpha Franboise from the Galaxy Angel franchise of anime, games, and more. What's more, Yukari Tamura- the voice of Hajime's wife Kaoru- played Ranpha in all works of the franchise.

In episode 10, when the doorbell rings at the start of the episode the ring is taken from the Pokémon game series.

In Episode 10, while Tsunashi Kaoru and Tsunashi Hajime are thinking of a name for their "would-be-child", Tsunashi Hajime turned into "Ikari Gendo" from "Shinseiki Evangelion" complete with the famous "Gendo Pose". While the scene plays, Tsunashi Hajime (as "Ikari Gendo") suggested they name the child "Shinji" if its a boy and "Rei" if its a girl (both are names of the pilots of "EVA-01" and "EVA-00" respectively).
