Trivia:

Many of the characters' last names (Katase, Fujisawa, Machida, Odawara, Kayama, Kazamatsuri) were adopted from Odakyu railway.

Winner of the "Best Theme Song Award" at the 8th Animation Kobe (2003) for Angela's "Asu e no Brilliant Road"

The name Stellvia is almost Latin for "star road" (which would be "stella via").

The Latin quote in episode 2 is the start of the poem "Dies Irae", about Judgement Day. The quoted lines mean: "Day of wrath, day of mourning, when Earth lies smoldering in ashes..."
