Plot Summary:
There are other Skill users in Japan besides those affiliated with either the Port Mafia or the Armed Detective Agency. One of those is Yukito Ayatsuji, a private detective with the ability to cause the death of the criminal whose crimes he solves. Because Ayatsuji is so dangerous, the Military Police's Skills User division (headed by Osamu Dazai's old friend Ango Sakaguchi) keeps him under close surveillance. Mizuki Tsujimura is the agent assigned to keep track of him, and she's about to like her job even less: Ayatsuji has entered into a rivalry with unaffiliated Skill user Natsuhiko Kyougoku, and the bodies are beginning to pile up.
