 Amid the resulting confusion, Jean, who has now linked up with Grandis and her two henchmen, proposes that they rescue Nadia, Mari and King. Jean insists the time is ripe to turn the tables on the powerful Neo-Atlanteans.
 Their hasty plan calls for a risky diversion staged for the benefit of Gargoyle himself. Unfortunately, Garogyle sees through their trick. All appears lost unless a miracle comes.
