Agency holds its 1st Los Angeles talent search on August 27

The talent agency HoriPro will be holding auditions in Los Angeles for the first time for the "next generation voice actress artist" on August 27. HoriPro produced the careers of such talent as Kyoko Fukuda, Haruka Ayase, and Satomi Ishihara.

The agency will be looking for females aged 12-22 who are not currently signed to a recording company or an entertainment production company. Those interested must be able to speak conversational Japanese, and should have an interest in anime, voice acting, or singing. Hori Pro specifically does not ask for applicants to reveal their nationality when they are accepting applications for the auditions.

The first round of auditions on August 27 will be held at the "Hori Pro Music Academy" in Los Angeles. The company will also hold auditions in Fukushima, Miyagi, Iwate, Aomori, Akita, and Yamagata prefectures starting on August 5. The finalists will compete on October 10 at the Shinagawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo.
