Nisemonogatari Anime Makes Akira Film Homage

The third and latest episode of the Nisemonogatari television anime series makes the following homage to the Akira anime film, complete with three dust plumes and yellow-green arcing sparks:
The "Karen Bee, Part 3" episode aired on Saturday, and Crunchyroll is now streaming this episode to premium members outside Japan. The anime centers around the "Fire Sisters" Karen and Tsukihi Araragi, who also appeared in NisiOisin's earlier Bakemonogatari novel and anime. Other works have referenced the famous motorcycle skid sequence from Katsuhiro Ōtomo's film, including America's Batman: The Animated Series.
