One Piece Anime's Uno Card Game Heads to New World

All-new art of Straw Hat Pirates in New World arc with 2 new exclusive cards

A New World edition of the One Piece pirate anime version of Mattel's Uno card game will go on sale in Japan on April 26. The packaging and cards themselves will feature all new artwork of the Straw Hat Pirates as they appear in the current New World story arc. In addition, the "Reverse," "Skip," "Wild Draw 4," and other unique Uno cards willl have art of Dragon, Shirahoshi Hime, Jinbe, and other characters from the New World arc.

Similar to the first Uno One Piece card decks, the new deck will have exclusive special cards — specifically, Shanks and Blackbeard — that are not found in the regular Uno decks. Under the special rules, a player can say "I'm gonna be the Pirate King!" instead of "Uno!" when only one card remains.

Bandai and Mattel first collaborated to create a One Piece Uno card game (with earlier designs and different exclusive cards) in 2003. They also released Doraemon and Hello Kitty versions.
