World's First Hello Kitty Beauty Spa Opens in Dubai

The world's first Hello Kitty Beauty Spa inspired by Sanrio's iconic cat character has opened in Dubai. The boutique describes itself as "a spa dedicated to all your girly needs with gorgeous packages for kids and adults in true Parisian glamour settings."
The spa features a service menu for both "Queens" (women) and "Princesses" (girls). Services include hair cuts, manicures, pedicures, and massages with food and drink items also available. The Sharaf Group, which manages the Hello Kitty franchise in the area, developed the project with designs by H&H Interior Design.
Last year, cosmetics retail chain Sephora unveiled a Hello Kitty makeup line, and the cat character's high-end fashion brand Pynkiss launched later that year. Hello Kitty also appeared as a cover girl for Taiwan's Elle fashion magazine last December. The undergarment brand Hanky Panky is releasing Hello Kitty lingerie this month.
