Rie Kugimiya, UVERworld to Perform in Blue Exorcist Film

The official website for the Blue Exorcist film announced on Thursday that Rie Kugimiya will be playing a new character, the cute-looking boy demon Usamaro that the main character Rin meets. Hidenobu Kiuchi will play Cheng-Long Liu, a high-level exorcist from Taiwan.
UVERworld will return from the Blue Exorcist television anime to contribute the theme song for the film. UVERworld performed the "Core Pride" opening song for the Blue Exorcist series, and also performed on the soundtracks of Bleach, Blood+, D.Gray-man, Gundam 00, and Toward the Terra.
The film will open in Japan on December 28, and Aniplex of America streamed the first teaser trailer with English subtitles. Comic Natalie posted a gallery of Usamaro, Cheng-Long Liu, UVERworld, and a piece of key visual for the film.
