Comixology Licenses Shotaro Ishinomori's Entire Manga Catalog

The digital comics platform Comixology announced on Friday that it licensed the entire catalog of manga pioneer Shōtarō Ishinomori from Ishimori Productions. The catalog is launching with the following, with more to come:
- Cyborg 009 Volume 1-2
- Kikaider Volume 1-2
- Skull Man
Comixology will also release Archaia's American graphic novel adaptation from writers FJ DeSanto and Bradley Cramp and illustrator Marcus To. That adaptation will appear early next year.
Comixology is available on iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire, Windows 8, standard web browsers, and other venues.
ITOCHU Corporation previously released several Ishinomori titles, including Cyborg 009 and Kikaider, in English on its "Get Your Comic" iOS app for Apple's iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices in 2010. However, it ended the service last fall.
