Megumi Nakajima Sings Kotoura-san TV Anime's Opening

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
January series adapts Enogizu's 4-panel manga about girl who can read minds

The official website for the Kotoura-san television anime launched on Friday and revealed that Megumi Nakajima will perform the opening theme song "Sonna Koto Ura no Mata Urabanashi Desho?" Yasuhiro Misawa (Yuruyuri, Kokoro Connect) will compose the series' music, while Jin Aketagawa (Hatsukoi Limited, Toradora!) will serve as sound director.

Nakajima has recorded theme songs for anime such as Macross Frontier, Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne, and Busou Shinki. Her anime voice acting roles include Macross Frontier's Ranka Lee, Sacred Seven's Ruri Aiba, Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne's Grania, and Aquarion Evol's Sazanka Bianca.

The Kotoura-san anime will adapt Enogizu's four-panel online romantic comedy manga of the same name. The school fantasy story follows Haruka Kotoura, a girl who recently transfered to a new school. Kotoura happens to be able to read people's minds, and she joins the school's ESP Club.

Masahiko Ohta (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) is directing the anime at the studio AIC Classic. Takashi Aoshima (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) is in charge of the series scripts, while Takaharu Ōkuma (Mitsudomoe, Hanaukyo Maid-tai) is serving as the character designer and chief animation director.

The anime's first teaser video began streaming last month.

The adaptation will premiere in Japan on January 10.
