Naruto Powerful Shippuden's N. American Promo Streamed

Nintendo 3DS game based on Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals to ship in March

The official North American YouTube channel for Namco Bandai Games began streaming a promotional video for the Naruto Powerful Shippuden 3DS game on Thursday. The Nintendo 3DS game was inspired by Kenji Taira's chibi reinterpretation of Masashi Kishimoto's ninja story.

Namco Bandai had released the "super deformed" 3DS fighting game under the title Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden in Japan on November 29. Taira's Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden manga also inspired the Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals anime.

As Viz had noted previously, "in the Story Mode, you can play as Naruto or Rock Lee and take on missions directly from the anime. Or you can just duke it out in the Endless Battle Mode. The game also features a character leveling up system as well as the ability to call in support characters during battles."

The Australian Classification Board, a government rating board that decides classifications for films, computer games and certain publications, had rated the Naruto Powerful Shippuden title as PG last month. Shonen Jump Alpha announced the game's planned arrival in North America in late December.
