Sword Art Online PSP Game's 5-Minute Promo Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
March 14 Infinity Moment RPG begins at Aincrad labyrinth's 75th floor

Namco Bandai Games began streaming the third five-minute promotional video for its Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment game for the PSP system on Friday. For the game, original novelist Reki Kawahara supervised a brand-new original story that begins from the 75th floor of the floating Aincrad labyrinth.

After the intro, the video shows the characters exploring the town on the 76th floor, customizing their equipment and offering their equipment to each other, interacting with other characters, and engaging in "real communication battles" with various weapons.

The limited first edition version will bundle the "Together with Asuna Aincrad Date Edition" DVD. The animated disc will feature an original story from Kirito's perspective with "high precision" 3D character modeling.

The limited version will also include a "game special movie" CG anime DVD that ties in with the Aincrad story arc and game. A special box with exclusive visual art by original novel illustrator abec, an original game soundtrack CD, a special booklet, and an original custom PSP game theme will complete the limited edition set.

Namco Bandai Games will release this "live-in-this-moment-with-you RPG" in Japan on March 14. The regular and downloadable versions will cost 6,280 yen (about US$79), while the limited edition will retail at 9,980 yen (US$125). The copies of the game will include a product code for obtaining 10 original custom PSP themes and "legendary protective gear" — in-game swimsuits for the heroines. A separate Sword Art Online End World game will begin running on the Gree mobile phone platform this winter.
