Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt to star in live-action adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's novel

Warner Brothers tweeted a second poster on Saturday for the upcoming Hollywood movie Edge of Tomorrow, based on the novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The poster features Tom Cruise in costume.

In addition, an exhibit at San Diego Comic-Con displayed two exo-suits from the upcoming movie. The two suits will be worn by stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.

Sakurazaka's original Japanese prose novel and revolves around a battle-armored soldier who finds himself dying and re-incarnating over and over again. The film stars Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Charlotte Riley, Kick Gurry, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Viz Media published Sakurazaka's novel in English to launch its Haikasoru imprint for Japanese science fiction and fantasy in 2009. The book's cover art was drawn by Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiments Lain, Haibane Renmei). Viz will also release a one-volume full-color graphic novel adaptation of the story on May 6, 2014. Nick Mamatas (Move Under Ground) will adapt the story and Lee Ferguson (Green Arrow, Miranda Mercury) will draw the art.

The film will open in the United States on June 6, 2014 after opening in select international theaters on May 30, 2014.
