Kana Hanazawa and Nana Mizuki Offer Original Curry Recipe and Curry Chips

posted on by Chris Nishijima
Two new curry based items let you share these two idols' love for curry with them.

Popular idols and voice actresses Kana Hanazawa (Oreimo and The World God Only Knows) and Nana Mizuki have teamed up with Japan's National Federation of Agricultural Co-operative Associations, otherwise known as ZEN-NOH and Calbee snack manufacturers respectively to bring you two brand new curry based products.

First, Calbee has created a curry flavored potato chip named after Nana Mizuki herself. According to Mizuki, the chips capture the flavor of a true authentic curry like that of her favorite European inspired curry shop "Le Le Marj," which Mizuki has been a patron of for years.

In addition to the new product, as part of Calbee's "Nana Mizuki – Live & Nanacan Present Campaign," Mizuki will be putting on a special live concert event on August 3. During the event, ten lucky guests will get to go backstage and meet the her, while 777 other guests will receive the limited edition "Nanacan," which will be full of Mizuki's favorite Calbee products.

Meanwhile, ZEN-NOH has also taken advantage of the idol curry craze to release their new "Kana-chan Secret Recipe Zeushi-kun Spyce '25' Beef Curry." The curry mix contains a total of 25 different flavors, including apple and ginger in honor of Kana Hanazawa's 25th birthday and latest album "25," released on February 26. Though Hanazawa found it difficult to believe that she would have her own line of curry, she fell in love with the product shortly after trying it. Particularly, she enjoyed the taste of ginger throughout the dish.

Note: The article has been corrected to reflect an error; it previously linked Hanazawa with the Calbee campaign instead of Mizuki.
