Upcoming Game Combines Vampires, Werewolves to Make... Vamwolves

D3 Publisher, Inc. is developing a game for the PlayStation Vita that combines two classic monsters with seductive appeal: vampires and werewolves. The "vamwolves" of Vamwolf Cross† suck human blood like vampires while possessing the sharp fangs and hunting impulses of wolves. They also have supernaturally powerful strength and leaping ability. And of course, they're all amazingly good-looking.
In this "romance adventure" game, the player takes on the role of a college student whose father runs an apartment building. Everyday life is good, but news soon emerges of a series of bizarre murders in which the victims' bodies have been entirely drained of their blood. When her father becomes a victim, rumors start flying that it's the work of vamwolves. Upon searching her father's possessions, the main character finds a diary and a gun hidden under a false bottom in his desk. The diary reveals that the father, along with the other residents in the apartment, was a vamwolf hunter. It also contains a cryptic line: "Is there a vamwolf in disguise among my friends?"
The main character must now uncover the truth and figure out who killed her father, whether or not one of his friends is a vamwolf, and if so, which one? Along the way, she might find herself falling in love with one of the hunters, but she must be careful—each character has a secret.

The main character is serious, determined, and unafraid of speaking her mind. She hopes to be a teacher like her mother, who passed away when she was young. She has a caring personality and enjoys helping or consoling those in need. She is careful not to show weakness to others.
Vamwolf Cross† is slated for a 2015 release date. It will cost 5,980 yen (about $50).
