Titans Aim to Take Over Shinjuku Station With Giant Scratch-Off Poster

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia put up a giant scratch off poster of 50 fearsome Titans in Shinjuku Station on Monday. The poster is part of the "Wall Shinjuku Recapture Strategy" campaign to promote Koei Tecmo's Attack on Titan game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita. The game will hit store shelves in Japan on February 18.

The poster measures 12 meters in length and is 2.4 meters high. On the game's release date, event organizers will pass out coins so participants can scratch away at the Titans on the poster to reveal the heroes underneath. A total of 94 QR codes are also hidden underneath. Participants can use the codes to get a free phone wallpaper.

Shinjuku Station hosted an 80-meter wall covered in Lego-like bricks as part of an advertising campaign for the launch of Dragon Quest Builders for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita last month. 1,500 fans arrived and took apart the wall in 3.5 hours.
