Japan Happy Meal Toys Opt for Show By Rock's President Over Popular Bands

McDonald's in Japan are getting in on the Sanrio popularity contest by offering tie-in toys of some of the frontrunners. Pom Pom Purin, Cinnamon, My Melody, Gudetama, Little Twin Stars, Hello Kitty, Kirimi-chan, and three of the bands from Show By Rock!! are currently in the lead. All the mascots are getting their own prizes with the exception of the Show By Rock!! bands. For some reason, the entry is instead represented by The President.

The toys include:
- Pom Pom Purin Seal with Case
- SHOW BY ROCK!! Mascot Band Disk Set
- Cinnamoroll Ruler
- My Melody Ribbon Picture Frame
- Hello Kitty Folding Comb
- Little Twin Star Toothbrush Case
- Kirimi-chan Stationary Set
- Gudetama Pocket Tissue Case
The president item isn't listed on Sanrio's site, but it looks to be a keychain.
Voting opened last week for Sanrio's 2016 character popularity poll. Voting lasts through June 19 and the winners will be announced at Puroland on July 2.
