Series debuts on Thursday, with Ogura playing different character each episode

Voice actress Yui Ogura is about to make her live-action drama debut on Thursday in a KFC-produced short series titled Kentucky Moshimo Gekijō - Moshimo Ogura Yui (Kentucky What If Theater - What If Yui Ogura). The series will be six episodes long, with a seventh episode serving as a recap. In each episode, Ogura will play a different character in six different stories themed around a menu item in KFC. For example, in the first episode, titled "Teiban-zuki na Kanojo" (The Girl Who Likes Plain Things," Ogura will play a girl who loves original recipe chicken and is about to go on a drive date.

The drama will debut in the Abema TV streaming service on April 13, and will air a new episode every Thursday from 10:57 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. In addition, the drama's eighth episode will introduce the drama's new star, a male voice actor who will be revealed late in May.

Until recently, Ogura was part of a musical duo with fellow voice actress Kaori Ishihara, until they announced their breakup to focus on their individual careers, which will be official on June 30. However, Ogura said her relationship with Ishihara remains amicable.
