One Piece's Nami's Bodacious Proportions Recreated for New Doll

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

Time-skip Nami is known for a lot things: she's the navigator of the Straw Hat crew, she loves the oranges of her hometown, and her bust to waist to hip ratio is insane. Danny Choo's Smart Doll line wasn't intimidated by the character's fantastical figure and have brought Nami to life with near perfect design consistency.

The doll includes a bikini top and pair of denim jeans. Nami retails for 73,116 yen (US$643) and is scheduled to ship in January.

Choo's Smart Doll has been in the works since at least 2013 as "an interactive home appliance" that helps users "bid farewell to roneriness." The doll was originally made in the image of the original character Mirai Suenaga but has since expanded out into many different looks.

The current rendition is a posable fashion doll. It uses an internal skeleton to stay posed without the use of a stand or other assistance. Code Geass' Lelouch Lamperouge was announced as joining the line-up as part of the anime's 10th anniversary.
