Yoko Takahashi's Evangelion Songs Get New Single Release, International Tour

Yoko Takahashi's "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis / Tamashii no Refrain" double A-side maxi single featuring two Evangelion theme songs will ship in Japan on June 20. The single will feature the Neon Genesis Evangelion opening theme song "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" and the Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth ending theme song "Soul's Refrain."
The release will feature special jacket art illustrated by the new Evangelion anime films' animator Masayuki. The illustration features Evangelion Unit-01 with images of Angels on its armor. In addition, the new Evangelion films' Studio Khara is producing a music video for the release, and Masayuki is directing.
To mark the single's release, Takahashi will have an "Evangelion World Tour," which will include performances at events in France, Hong Kong, and other countries and territories. The tour will begin at Evangelion Store Tokyo-01 in the P'Parco store in Ikebukuro on June 30. The event will include a mini concert performed by Takahashi, screening of the music video, talk segment, and games.
