Volks Plans Rose of Versailles Super Dollfies

Riyoko Ikeda's The Rose of Versailles manga and its heroine Lady Oscar have captured hearts since it debuted almost 50 years ago. The characters appear in campaigns for coffee, chocolate, and yogurt and were recently the inspiration for a new line of shirts from UNIQLO. This winter the characters are appearing in another campaign, this time as the stars of the Dolls Party 40 event at Tokyo Big Sight.
Volks' Super Dollfie line of ball-jointed dolls will add The Rose of Versailles characters. Details are under wraps for now, but Volks is expected to announce more information on a special Rose of Versailles page in mid-November. The dolls will be on display at Dolls Party 40 on December 16.
The Super Dollfie line already includes Black Jack and Rozen Maiden versions, each measuring approximately 60cm tall. Super Dollfie models vary in price from several hundred to over a thousand dollars.
