Say 'I Choose Meow!' With Pokémon-Inspired Cat Hats

Capsule toy maker Kitan Club, known for its popular Cup no Fuchiko line of capsule toys, offers a variety Pokémon items and themed cat hats. Those two worlds collided as the company recently unveiled its new line of Pokémon cat hats.
Kitan Club's first Pokémon-inspired installment in its "Neko no Kaburimono" (Cat Headgear) series features Pikachu, Eevee, Meowth, Vulpix, Jigglypuff, and Snorlax. The hats fit cats (or other small pets) with a head circumference of about 28-29 centimeters (about 11 inches). Because this release is listed as "volume 1," the company presumably has even more Pokémon feline headwear in the works.
Each capsule toy costs 400 yen (about US$4.00), and the new prizes will debut in machines in Japan in the middle of January. Also, Kitan Club is offering complete sets of the hats for purchase online.
Kitan Club has already released cat hats featuring Sesame Street, Kirby, and Sanrio characters, as well as other themed designs.
