posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Voice actress Mai Kadowaki announced on her blog on Saturday that she is now a "single parent." Kadowaki didn't write the specific circumstances that led to her raising her children alone.

Kadowaki wrote that she and her children moved into a new home in the spring and she thanked her friends for helping with the move. She asked that her friends come and visit her family any time.

She plans to continue with work as usual and is utilizing a babysitter and one of Japan's Child Family Support Centers.

Kadowaki became engaged to a man outside of the voice acting industry in 2012 and the couple were married the following year. She gave birth to their first child, a boy, at the end of 2013. The couple also has a second child, a daughter.

Mai Kadowaki plays Illyasviel "Illya" von Einzbern in various anime in the Fate franchise, including the most recent Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel films. She also starred as Rororina "Rorona" Fryxell in the Atelier games. Her other roles include Kōmei Shokatsuryō in Ikki Tousen, Sanya V. Litvyak in Strike Witches, Mayu Tsukimura in Goshūshō-sama Ninomiya-kun, Mimi Usa in Kodomo no Jikan, Risa Kamizaki and Keiko Tanaka in Amagami SS, and Isara Aomi in Love, Election & Chocolate.
