Creator Successfully Crowdfunds Drama CD for Koisuru Ojō-sama wa Papa to Yobitakunai Manga

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Sakura Kinoshita successfully crowdfunded the required 1,000,000 (US$9,200) yen to fund a drama CD adaptation of her manga Koisuru Ojō-sama wa Papa to Yobitakunai (Daughter in Love Won't Call Me Papa). The campaign has raised 1,884,500 yen (US$17,350) so far with 42 days left.

The story follows a sullen middle-aged novelist named Masamune who adopts a beautiful second grader named Karen. Karen is wealthy and likes to dress up in lolita-style clothing. The story develops into "fake family romantic comedy."

The drama CD will be an original story not previously told in the manga. Tactics drama CD scenario writer Naru Nanami is returning to write the script. The two-volume manga's drama CD adaptation will star Hikaru Midorikawa as Noa and Kimito Totani as Alfred. Virtual YouTuber Sakura Komari will voice Karen. Additional cast will be announced on the official crowdfund site.

The campaign added a stretch goal for 2,000,000 yen (US$18,400) on Tuesday that will expand a bundled booklet from 16 pages to 20 pages.

Kinoshita is the creator of the The Mythical Detective LOKI and Tactics manga. Both series were adapted into television anime. Koisuru Ojō-sama wa Papa to Yobitakunai launched in the Kurofune pixiv magazine in March 2018 and the second volume was released on June 22.
