Urban Vision's first theatrical release to be new Vampire Hunter D

posted on

Urban Vision Entertainment is reportedly near making a deal with an unnamed distribution company to release the new Vampire Hunter D: Movie, the follow-up to the highly successful film released domestically in dubbed form by Streamline Pictures. In doing this, they make good on their promise to introduce at least one anime title per year into US theaters.

Urban Vision's Marc Takenaga said in a recent e-mail, "Right now our executive producer, Mata Yamamoto is working... with [company name removed] and is the plan is almost finalized. Look for it soon in theaters!" Takenaga said later that he is shooting for an early 2000 release.

Still unknown at this point is the magnitude of the distribution.
