C.B. Cebulski talks about releasing Trigun

Source: UMJAMS Anime News

Fanboy Entertainment's C.B. Cebulski recently spoke on their forum about the potential for a release of Trigun in the US, which they don't currently have the rights to. CB is a friend of the series creator Nightow-sensei, and the two have discussed a release of the series. When asked about the potential for covers by American comic artists rather than Nightow, CB pointed out one 200 page Japanese "tankobon" breaks up into 6 or 7 U.S. size, which means that seven color covers would be needed for one provided. Nightow-sensei does not often work in color so additional artwork is limited as well. When asked about colorizing the black and white series for American release it was points out that Nightow, who is a fan of US comics wants the series to be released in the US, and wants this book in color. CB says that Nightow would like him to handle the release because of his work with Kia Asamiya's color Dark Angel project.
