Viz February Graphic Novels

posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Rounding out their press releases for the day, Viz has sent out some PR for their February Graphic Novel releases, Ranma 1/2 volume 19 and Video Girl Ai volume 4.

PR excerpts:

Ranma 1/2: Volume 19, the next graphic novel release of Rumiko Takahashi's hugely popular romantic martial arts comedy. Black and white, 192-page graphic novel retails for $15.95 U.S. ($25.95 Canada).

In this issue, Ranma and Genma are fighting about food (again), but this time it gets serious when Genma kicks Ranma out of the house. Then, the sweet and delicious treat, "Sakura-mochi" has the power to indicate the true love of the maker of the pastry and Akane's cooked up a batch to share. Will the mochi mark Ranma with the imprint of the cherry blossom? Ranma 1/2 fans take note; this issue marks the beginning of the famous "Cheerleading Battle."

Video Girl Ai, Volume 4: Off-Line. Currently featured in Animerica Extra, Off-Line is the fourth graphic novel in the continuing teenage romance series by Masakazu Katsura and features 208 black and white pages for $15.95 U.S. ($25.95 Canada).

In this volume, Ai is back but she doesn't remember Yota. Thinking that the Ai he knew is gone forever, Yota turns his attentions to Nobuko Nizaki, a freshman who has had a crush on him for years, and now she decides to spend the night. Ai wants to believe that she's human, but finds it difficult once she learns the true nature of her existence. Will she solve Yota's troubles before her time is up?
