Anime Documentary Debut Crushes Competition

The St. Louis International Film Festival's showing of the documentary "Invasion: Anime" had a larger audience than the preceding film, "Steven Spielberg Presents Taken".
"Invasion: Anime" debuted on November 22, 2002 to a crowd 65% larger than the Spielberg-backed film that ran ahead of it. Producer/director Angie Alexander credited the film's success to the promotional work done by the crew of Tempest Productions, the company that produced the film. "We hit all the shops, bars, restaurants and parking lots we could find," she said. A radio interview on KMOX AM also helped promote the premiere.
