Animatrix Dominating Anime Sales

The Animatrix, the Wachowski brothers' animated companions to their Matrix trilogy, was a smash hit in the retail market this week. The title kept up with other video juggernauts, such as Die Another Day and the Terminator 2 re-release. Depending on how titles like Spirited Away and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie close out the year in retail, The Animatrix may be the top selling anime of 2003.
