More Initial D, more Saiyuki, new anime by Mahiro Maeda

A new season of Initial D, Initial D: Fourth Stage is set to premiere in April.

Mahiro Maeda and GONZO are working on a new TV series called Gankutsu-Oh ("The king of the cave") . The sci-fi series is based on Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo

Meanwhile, a new take on Gō Nagai's Mazinger Z will be produced by "Go Devilman Nagai". Pandar Zetto ("Panda Z") will parody the series that anime fans in North America and Japan grew up with.

Madhouse is working on a new mystery series called Monster. Directed by Masayuki Kojima, Monster will premiere on Nihon TV (NTV) in April and will run for a year and a half. There's a page for Monster on NTV's website.

Crayon Shin-chan - Arashi wo Yobu Yuhi no Kasukabe Boys (Kasukabe Boys in the Sunset who Call a Storm ), the latest movie based on Norihito Usui's Crayon Shin-chan manga will premiere in Japanese theatres on April 17th. The movie will be produced by Shin'ei Doga and directed by Tsutomu Mizushima.

A new Saiyuki TV series is in the works. Due out in April 2004 this third installement of Saiyuki should be titled Saiyuki Gunlock, but that title is not yet finalyzed.

Capitalyzing on the publicity from the upcoming live action Cutie Honey, a new OAV series is being added to the franchise. Re: Cutie Honey . A website has been placed at re-cutiehoney.com, but actual content for the website isn't scheduled to appear until March 26th.
