Strong Debut for Del Rey Manga

Top two spots, all releases in top twelve
Del Rey Manga launched their first four manga titles last week to great success. The first volumes of Negima, by Ken Akamatsu; Gundam Seed, by Masatsugu Iwase; and Tsubasa and xxxHOLiC, both by CLAMP were all released on April 30th. Two of the releases, Tsubasa and Negima, ranked one and two on the Nielsen Bookscan graphic novel bestseller list for the week ending May 2nd. xxxHOLiC, by CLAMP, was #6; and Gundam Seed ranked sixth and twelfth respectively.
In addition, Tsubasa volume 1 also ranked fifth on the Waldenbooks trade paperback list, the highest rank ever achieved by a manga release to date.
