posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Steamboy to be featured as closing movie for Venice Festival, Steamboy Exhibition at MUF in Tokyo

Steamboy has been selected as the closing movie for this year's 61st Venice International Film Festival (MOSTRA) , held from the 1st to the 11th of September.

Meanwhile, the Mori Urban Institute for the Future (MUF) will be holding a Steamboy exhibit from the 24th of July until the 5th of September. The exhibition, entitled "STEAMBOY, retro future of London" will examine the 19th century depicted in the movie in terms of the technology, cities, and architecture of the times, so as to provide an understanding of the movie's world outlook.

STEAMBOY, retro future of London will take place at the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower 50F and costs 600 yen for adults, 500 yen for students and 300 yen for children.

A full outline of the exhibit can be seen on the MUF's billingual website here.
