Genius Party's Next Genius Contest Winners Announced

Winners, including two international animated shorts, to be added to DVD
Studio 4°C announced the winners, including two international awardees, of its Next Genius animated short film competition during the July 7 opening of its Genius Party anthology film. Seven of the Genius Party directors judged the 76 nominated shorts. The winning entries will be added to the Genius Party events and DVD extras.
The winners are:
- "O-hanashi no Hana: Bloomed Words" by Amica Kubo
- "Apartment!" by Kiyoshi Aoki
- "Mimi Carina" by Helole Cedric
- "The naked ape" by Daishichi Hashimoto
- "Kanashii Asagohan: The Last Breakfast" by Akiko Ichise
- "XOI" by Victor Courtright
- "Denshin-bashira no O-kaasan" ("Telephone Pole Mother") by Yūsuke Sakamoto
