Code Geass DVD Magazine to Include Sequel Promo Video (Updated)

posted on by Egan Loo
Two-volume magazine to run in Japan on December 21, January 25

The Japanese website for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion military robot anime series has announced that Bandai Visual will release two "DVD Magazines" in Japan on December 21 and January 25. The first volume will include a promotional video for the much anticipated Code Geass sequel.

In addition to the sequel's promotional video, the 50-minute first volume will feature a character quote collection, two new cast audio recordings ("Sayoko's Diary" and "Lelouch-sensei's History of Britannia Class"), the next-episode previews (categorized by the characters that appear in them), a dictionary of terms from director Goro Taniguchi, and videos from the Code Geass: Diary of the Rebellion net radio broadcasts. Each volume will sell for 3,990 yen (about US$34.19) and cover thirteen episodes, or half of the original series.

The anime staff has yet to announce when the sequel will be released, or whether it will be a television, video, or movie release. Bandai Entertainment announced at Otakon 2007 that it had licensed the original series for North America.

Update: Descriptions of the new cast audio recordings added.
