UCC Brings Eva, Pachinko, Maids, & Caffeine Together

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: UCC, the beverage company that successfully revived its Evangelion coffee after a decade off the market, is refreshing the lineup with maid outfits — but only at Japanese pachinko parlors. The redesigned UCC Coffee: Milk & Coffee Evangelion Project cans will feature Rei and Asuka, the two main female pilots in the Evangelion science-fiction anime franchise, in exclusive maid outfit designs. However, these two new cans are intended only for parlors with pachinko machines, which are Japanese hybrids of upright pinball machines and slot machines. CR Evangelion pachinko machines have been popular items at these parlors ever since they were introduced in 2005. The redesigned cans will appear at the end of February.
