Jetix, Telecom's Robo Crosser to Launch in Spring 2009

Project in development at Japan's Telecom Animation Film since 2004

America's Disney and Japan's Telecom Animation Film have announced on Thursday at Tokyo International Anime Fair 2008 that the Robo Crosser animated series will premiere in next spring. Disney's Jetix brand unit planned and produced the project, while Telecom animated it. According to AFP, the series "will star a 12-year-old boy and his unicycle robot who are trying to win a motorbike race." Telecom has been developing this project since at least 2004, when it previewed storyboards online. Telecom won four Emmy Awards for its work on Tiny Toon Adventures, A Pinky & The Brain Christmas Special, Animaniacs, and The New Batman/Superman Adventures.
