Megazone 23, Galactic Heroes helmer discuses life's work, future plans
The Anime World Order podcast has posted its Anime Weekend Atlanta 2007 interview with Noboru Ishiguro, the veteran director of Space Battleship Yamato, the 1980 version of Astro Boy, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross series and film, Megazone 23, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Ishiguro founded the studio Artland, which animated most of the above titles as well as more recent titles such as Mushi-Shi and My-HiME. In the interview, Ishiguro discusses his life's work, the possibility of new Yamato anime, and the ways his studio has evolved with the current digital workflow process.
