'Jump to Japan' Museum Exhibit Now in Michigan

The Great Lakes Children's Museum in Traverse City, Michigan has been hosting the "Jump to Japan: Discovering Culture Through Popular Art" exhibition since Memorial Day, and the exhibition will continue until Labor Day (September 1). A display of the "Cat Bus" from Hayao Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro is set up for children to see in the Fantastic Animation section, while manga fill bookshelves in the Manga Mania portion. Participants also get the chance to craft their own scrolls and woodblock prints in the Artful Traditions section. Admission is US$4.00 per person and free for those under the age of 2. Hours of operation are from 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on Sundays until the end of this exhibition.
