Fist of the North Star Wedding Photos Posted Online

Not-So-Daily Links of the Day, Update: Nikkan Sports, Mainichi Shimbun's Mantan Web, Sankei Sports, animeanime.jp, and MyCom Journal have posted photographs from Friday's "soul wedding ceremony" of Kenshiro and Yuria from the Fist of the North Star manga in Tokyo. The ceremony marked the 25th anniversary of Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's post-apocalyptic fighting story in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
3,000 people applied for the 777 seats at the wedding. The invited guests included Buronson, Hara, North Star Pictures producer Nobuhiko Horie, composer Yuki Kajiura, the visual-kei band jealkb, and the new musical artist mina muse. (jealkb and mina muse are both performing on Fist of the North Star's newest animated work.) The performers of the stage musical version of Fist of the North Star even gave a preview demonstration.
Like the "funeral" that was held last year for Kenshiro's rival Raoh, the wedding was timed to promote a film; the Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Kenshirō-den film will open in Japan in October 11.
