Waterloo Fest to Screen Eva:1.0, Genius Party Films

The 8th Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema will screen the Canadian premiere of Hideaki Anno's Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone film as well as back-to-back showings of Studio 4°C's Genius Party and Genius Party Beyond anthology films from November 13 to November 16. The Kitchener-Waterloo-based festival will also hold the Canadian premiere of The Piano Forest, Masayuki Kojima's acclaimed film about two young friends who meet through a mysterious piano in a forest.
In addition, the festival will showcase Lotte Reiniger's 1926 animated film Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed and the Canadian premiere of Quirino Cristiani: The Mystery of the First Animated Movies. The Quirino Cristiani documentary gives viewers a glimpse at the man who was responsible for the world's first animated feature, 1917's El Apóstol.
