Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahō Anime's Promo Movie Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
Light novels' summer TV anime about freshman and her modern magic teacher

The official Japanese website for the anime adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahō (Properly Learned Modern Magic) light novels has begun streaming a promotional movie. (In the linked page, select the illustrated "プロモーションムービー公開中" button on bottom right.) The story revolves around Koyomi Morishita, a clumsy high school freshman girl who is often mistaken for a grade-schooler because of her shortness. Koyomi becomes a disciple of Misa Anehara, a 25-year-old graduate student who happens to be one of the most powerful modern-day magicians.

The television series will premiere in Japan this summer. Chocotto Sister and Kyōran Kazoku Nikki director Yasuhiro Kuroda will oversee the animators at Nomad, while Makoto Koga (Aria, Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan) will adapt the characters that were originally drawn by the novel's illustrator and manga adaptation artist, Miki Miyashita (Maburaho manga).
