Debut Album from Macross Frontier's May'n Lands at #2

May'n Street, the first album from May Nakabayashi under her stage name May'n, debuted at #2 with 25,935 copies on Oricon's weekly top album chart for January 20-26. The album includes the May'n version of the "Lion" opening theme song from Macross Frontier. May'n Street debuted below Mai Kuraki's touch Me! album, which includes the recent Detective Conan opening theme song "Ichibyō goto ni Love for you." Kuraki's latest CD moved 50,251 copies. Ikimono-gakari's My song Your song album rose one spots to #3 with 20326 more copies sold. It includes the Cat Street drama theme song "Planetarium," the Naruto Shippūden anime opening song "Bluebird," and the "Kaeritaku Natta yo" theme for the Suna-dokei (Sand Chronicles) film.

The Exile Ballad Best CD from Exile stayed at #5 with 18,721 copies. The new Exile Generation television series premiered earlier this month with the Examurai Sengoku anime shorts. The Code Geass Complete Best album dropped from #1 to #7 with 14,688 copies sold. Also in its second week, voice actress Maaya Sakamoto's Kazeyomi album fell from #3 to #14 with 8,674 copies.

The Humanizer album from longtime Initial D contributors m.o.v.e debuted at #22 with 6,447 copies. The album features four songs from the Initial D games. The Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidō Vocal Mini-Album landed at #26 with 5,407 copies. The actual Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidō game for the Nintendo Wii did not sell that many more copies, as it ranked only #13 during its first week of release.
